Anfrage an Patrick Volkerding am 01.Aug.2008:Hallo Patrick,
being a Slackware fan/user from the beginning of my Linux journey 6 years ago, I have launched a site, where I want to share my LiveCD efforts with the community. Therefore I merged eeelive.org webmount.org and mirror.live-modules.org to a new site.
The whole system is based on your fabulous Slackware, extended by using the scripts Jason Woodward created for slapt-get/gslapt.
I also succeded in extending slackpkg for modulizing a package via web. (you may have a look at
http://cli-apps.org/content/show.php/slackpkg-lmo?content=77545)
Being a moderator at Tomas Matejiceks's slax.org for a long time I based my Idea of a LiveCD on his
linux-live scripts and ported the idea of kdemod from Archlinux to Slackware.
This LiveCD is extentable via webmount ( a firefox frontend for httpfs ) during runtime.
I would like to contribute my future Linux efforts to Slackware but at the moment there is one major question:
"May I use the name Slack2Go ? ? ?"Thanks for the splendid work you are doing with Slackware,
Manfred Mueller aka Quax
Seine Antwort:I would really prefer that derivative projects use a name without
"slack" in it that doesn't suggest any kind of tie to the Slackware
project.
Good luck with it, though. :-)
